On 3 June, 2025, in celebration of the Global Day of Parents, the Shkodër Regional Peace Council held a special reception at the Hotel Colosseo. The theme was “The Role of Parents in Strengthening the Spiritual Values of the Nation”.
Among the ninety guests present there were Ambassadors for Peace, public figures, special guests and young members of the Collegiate Association for the Research of Principles (CARP). The atmosphere was warm and stimulating.
The event was moderated very professionally by Ms. Majlinda Lachaj, Chairperson of the Shkodër Regional Peace Council.
The ceremony attracted national and international attention due to the participation of prominent figures such as:
- H.E. Alfred Moisiu, President of Albania (2002–2007)
- H.E. Fatmir Sejdiu, President of Kosovo (2006–2010)
- Mr. Jacques Marion, President of the Universal Peace Federation for Europe and the Middle East (UPF-EUME)
- Mr. Defrim Methasani, Chairman of UPF-Albania
- Mr. Ali Lacej, Coordinator of the National Peace Council
Part of the programme was dedicated to Art, Literature and Music. Maestro Anton Kaftalli performed an artistic piece on his violin; Ms. Denata Rroji read a moving poem about her father; and the CARP youth group performed a rhythmic dance.
To conclude the event, ten prominent personalities of Shkodër were presented with the "Ambassador for Peace" Award for their contribution to spreading the values of harmony and coexistence.
