Geneva, Switzerland—The Swiss chapters of UPF and two affiliated organizations have opened a joint office.

UPF-Switzerland will share the Geneva office with the Swiss chapters of Women’s Federation for World Peace (WFWP) and Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU).

On May 7, 2019, the UPF Geneva Team convened an inaugural gathering with the awarding of Ambassador for Peace certificates to two distinguished individuals: Mr. Bachittar Singh Ughrha, the vice president of the Sikh Gurdwara Temple of Geneva and the president of the Center for Defense of Human Rights; and Mr. Tahir Shabani, the president of the French Albanian Friendship Society.

In all, 25 persons attended the inaugural event: 15 Ambassadors for Peace and other guests and 10 staff members and supporters of the three organizations.
