Rome, Italy—The magazine of the John Paul II Foundation has published a 10-page article about UPF.

The organization, known in Italian as Fondazione Giovanni Paolo II, promotes ecumenical, interreligious and intercultural dialogue. It featured the UPF article in the December 2021 edition of Colloquia Mediterranea, a 500-page magazine that the foundation publishes twice a year.

The magazine is sent to all the bishops in Italy and the very important contacts of the Catholic Church.

Professor Riccardo Burigana, the scientific director of the magazine—who is also the director of the Center for Ecumenism at the Istituto di Studi Ecumenici San Bernardino – Venezia and a professor of church history and ecumenism—has been friends with UPF-Italy Secretary General Franco Ravaglioli for about two years. During a Zoom meeting with Mr. Ravaglioli and UPF-Italy President Carlo Zonato, Professor Burigana proposed that UPF submit an article for publication in Colloquia Mediterranea, explaining about UPF’s origin, its founders and related activities.

The article was published without any changes to the submitted text. Franco Ravaglioli contacted Professor Burigana to thank him for this “gift,” but the professor responded that he is ready to cooperate again in the future.
