InvitationThe Universal Peace Federation together with the Women’s Federation for World Peace International (WFWPI) and other partners is planning a half day conference, at the United Nations Offices, Geneva, Switzerland, composed of two panels, to reflect about thoughtful means and strategies to avoid or end war and violence.

The conference will be in English with interpretation into French.

14h10 Session 1:

A faith-based approach to lasting Peace through reconciliation. In 2000, UPF's Founders have proposed including the wisdom and capacity of the World's Religions for holistic thought and action, this would enhance the focus on higher-level values within the U.N. and raise its effectiveness in fulfilling its mandate to create lasting world peace.

15h40 Session 2:

No Peace without Women In response to the outbreaks of war in our region a network of women leaders including the UN, governments and civil society inaugurated a serious of regional conferences in Europe, the Balkans, Africa, and Latin America. This conference is the first one bringing the call to the United Nations in Geneva.
