Tirana, Albania—UPF and an affiliated organization donated school supplies to 55 children of police officers who died in the line of duty.

In cooperation with the National Institute for Integration of Albanian Orphans, UPF and the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU) invited 55 orphans to the Tirana Peace Embassy on September 18, 2021, to give them school bags and other school supplies.

The date was chosen in recognition of the United Nations International Day of Peace, which is observed on September 21.

The school supplies were purchased with money earned during a summertime fundraising campaign. A team of young UPF supporters worked hard to prepare the gift bags and also entertained the children with a dance.

Dr. Eva Çipi, the chair of UPF-Albania, and Ilir Çumani, the executive director of the National Institute for Integration of Albanian Orphans, addressed the audience.
