We, convened at the round-table “Family Values, Family Policies, European Culture: Challenges and Opportunities in Central Europe Today” in Vienna on July 8, 2016, are a group of concerned citizens, educators, experts, opinion-makers and politicians from the “Visegrad Four” and other Central European countries.

Prague, Czech Republic—More than 50 participants attended a conference held in the Czech Parliament on “Challenges and Opportunities of Our Time.”

The following is based on a presentation by Dr. Aaron Rhodes at the Seminar, “Challenges and Opportunities of Our Time,” held in the Parliament of the Czech Republic on 25 November 2016, hosted by MP Nina Nováková under the co-sponsorship of UPF.

Following up on the Vienna Round table, 17 politicians, experts, academics and NGO representatives from 5 nations gathered in Budapest on Monday 24, October 2016 for a Round table convened by Hon. Nina Nováková, member of the Czech Parliament and Mr. Jacques Marion, Secretary General of UPF Europe.

Some 25 politicians, experts and NGO representatives from Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Austria gathered for a Round Table on “Family Values, Family Policies, European Culture: Challenges and Opportunities in Central Europe Today” on July 8, 2016, in Vienna.

Prague, Czech Republic—UPF held a roundtable in the Czech Parliament hosted by Mrs Nina Nováková MP to discuss the roles of religious and secular leaders in bringing peace.

Prague, Czech Republic—The Czech Republic chapter of UPF recently convened its third conference in the Czech Parliament on the topic of the family.

Prague, Czech Republic - Representatives of five world religions gathered at a meeting, held in honor of World Interfaith Harmony Week, whose theme was “Harmony and Peace.”

Prague, Czech Republic - UPF-Czech Republic convened a European Leadership Conference in the House of Parliament in Prague Oct. 14, 2014. The topic was "The Family in the 21st Century."

Prague, Czech Republic -A conference in the Parliament of the Czech Republic on May 22, 2014 in observance of the International Day of Families was organized by UPF-Czech Republic, UPF-Germany and other Czech partner organizations.

Mr. Jura Nanuk, founder and president of the Central-European Religious Freedom Institute (CERFI) based in Budapest, Hungary, spoke on the topic of “Religious Freedom in Hungary and the New Law on Minority Faiths”. Mr. Nanuk said he was inspired to start his institute by an anonymous quote, “Sometimes I want to ask Godwhy He allows poverty, famine and injustice in the world, but I’m afraid He may ask me the same question.”
