Environmentally active students of the Voronezh Forestry Engineering University listen to a UPF presentation about an "eco-game” for children and their families.
Volunteers show the students how the interactive game is played.

Voronezh, Russia—In a UPF program, university students were shown how an “eco-game” can develop children’s environmental consciousness.

In honor of the UN International Mother Earth Day, UPF held a program on April 22, 2023, for 100 environmentally active students of the Voronezh Forestry Engineering University.

The students were introduced to an eco-game called “Make Green Decisions!” which teaches about separating waste, responsible consumption, and environmental habits. The target audience is children and families with children. In the summer it is planned to carry out the project in the city’s parks.

The author of the project, Elena Knyazeva, the head of UPF in the city of Voronezh, organized the event together with the Centre for Environmental Information of Voronezh and the Volunteer Centre of Voronezh under the city’s Department of Education.

The partners in this project have applied for a grant from the local administration to carry out their plans.
