Udelnaya, Russia—UPF led about 20 young volunteers in repairing a veterans’ center in the Moscow Region.

On December 12, 2021, UPF-Moscow representatives and students of the Center for the Development of Creativity of Children and Youth performed a service project at the Council of Veterans in the village of Udelnaya.

For almost two years the elderly veterans have been sitting at home due to COVID-19, and during this time the building of the Council of Veterans has become badly dilapidated. It was flooded, the wallpaper has come off, and the paint has peeled off the ceiling.

The village administration purchased building materials, which the volunteer team used in making repairs to the center. After the volunteers’ work, the building is ready to welcome the veterans when they return.
