Moscow, Russia—At the invitation of a Moscow Region children’s center, UPF has been training the center’s older children to lead service projects.

Starting with a traditional Subbotnik (day of picking up trash) on September 18, 2021, as part of the #Let's Do 2021 campaign, UPF representatives held a series of training programs in November at the Udelninsky Children's Center on how to hold “eco-quests,” so that older children can lead younger children.

On December 4 UPF took part in an International Volunteer Day celebration at the children’s center with about 40 participants. There was a concert, a presentation on volunteering, and an “eco-quest” about recycling. By this time the older children already had become the leaders for the younger children.

The children's center has asked UPF to continue carrying out volunteer projects with its children on a regular basis.
