The Peace Road participants visit the farm of an Ambassador for Peace.

Kirklareli, Turkey—More than 100 people from different countries joined a Peace Road event in the European part of Turkey.

After inviting a UPF delegation to his office, Kirklareli Mayor Mehmet Siyam Kesimoğlu told them that his support and contribution are always there for peace and development.

Later that same day, the mayor visited Peace Road participants in the Royal Bilgic Hotel, where they were having a meeting, and wished them success.

The official program on July 21, 2022, began with welcoming remarks from Umberto Angelucci, the president of UPF for the Middle East. He gave a brief introduction to the Peace Road Initiative, which he said symbolizes the UPF founders’ vision of an International Peace Highway.

The mayor sent two big buses for the participants and provided two of his staff members as interpreters.

Participants visited the museum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey. They then visited the farm of Ambassador for Peace Hatice Kunt to observe nature.

Binod Paudel, the president of UPF-Turkey, closed the program by thanking everyone for their participation.
