Wattrelos/Mouscron, French-Belgian border—UPF supporters in northern France invited their Belgian counterparts to a Peace Road event on their nations’ border.

The event was held on August 14, 2022, in remembrance of the 10th anniversary of the passing of UPF founder Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon.

About 30 participants gathered at the former border post between the towns of Wattrelos (France) and Mouscron (Belgium).

Among the prominent local speakers at the border gathering were Brice Wete-Matouba and Souvanh Phanithavong.

The participants also included Daovy Ganserlat Pathoummaluangsy, Yves-Henri Delzenne, and Christophe Delahousse.

UPF-France supporter Jean-Henri Vanalderwelt gave a thorough explanation of the background and significance of the international Peace Road initiative, based on the UPF founders’ vision of an International Peace Highway.

At the end of the event, participants enjoyed refreshments in the nearby home of a UPF supporter.
