Visitors enjoy the international exhibition of space-themed art.

Samara, Russia—Two Ambassadors for Peace organized a weeklong art festival during Samara Space Week.

About 50 participants attended the event, which was held from April 15 to April 22, 2022, in Samara, a Russian city that played a large role in the development of the Soviet Union’s space system.

Ambassadors for Peace Ekaterina Samitina and Olga Beketova organized the festival, which included a children's exhibition of paintings ("Space through the Eyes of Children"), a master class, an international exhibition of space-themed paintings, as well as a seminar at the Samara Regional Art Museum with the participation of professional speakers from the world of art.

The organizers brought together artists working in different techniques and styles with the theme “Space and the Universe.” Not only Russia but also Canada, Slovakia, South Korea, Germany and the United Kingdom were represented. The program was part of the development of UPF’s International Association of Arts and Culture for Peace (IAACP) in Russia.

The exhibition was presented in the G Gallery modern art venue. The grand opening featured performances from the famous musician Lidia Zhukova-Igolnikov and poet Lena Tomilina.

On April 15, a seminar was held at the Samara Regional Art Museum with the participation of the following speakers:

Dmitry Samko, the chairman of UPF-Moscow;

Irina Nikolskaya, the owner of Pop up Museum and NikolskayaGallery, Moscow/London;

Alexander Fedini, the founder and director of Fedini Gallery, Moscow;

Valeria Salnikova, an illustrator, Moscow;

Yuriy Omelchenko, the founder and presenter of the ARTpatrol media project on contemporary art, the co-owner of the Omelchenko Gallery, and an auctioneer

Vyacheslav Tishin, a collector and the owner of the international online gallery Art-Most, Samara/Moscow.

Many residents of Samara visited the exposition, enjoying contemporary art and immersing themselves in the atmosphere of space in a cozy gallery.
