The last event of this year, held on 30 Novembre 2024 in the time of Advent, in celebration of UNESCO's World Philosophy Day (21 November). tackled an all-embracing topic: ‘Life – what it is’.
Members and friends of UPF heard three short talks touching on many aspects of life: biological, physical, galactical, religious and of course philosophical. There was much food for thought.
Not only earthly, physical life was discussed, but also life in the womb and possible life after life. We noted that philosophical and religious reflections about life resemble each other in many ways, because they attempt to understand life and to give it meaning on a personal level.
The participants then had the opportunity to become better acquainted and exchange ideas on a deeper level while enjoying coffee and cake in smaller groups.
Bernd Flieger, chairman of UPF Berlin, appointed two new Ambassadors of Peace, both of whom gratefully accepted this honour and promised their commitment and cooperation towards the goal of a more peaceful society. Two other Ambassadors for Peace signed membership.

I am very grateful and honoured to have received this appointment, especially in relation to the life and works of Reverend Moon. His biography touched me very much. His dedication to the mission, his direction and trust in divine guidance, his power and strength to go through all challenges and to continue to serve others even in the face of his own greatest need, are some examples that touch the heart.
