Geneva, Switzerland – UPF-Switzerland, together with Youth and Students for Peace, organized a training program for Ambassadors for Peace on November 18, 2023. The event took place at the UPF office in Geneva and online, through Zoom. It was the fourth such program this year, and the 17th since 2020.

Short lectures were presented by Thomas Pritty in English and Chantal Chételat Komagata in French, with each one simultaneously interpreting the content into the other language. Following the presentations, participants in Geneva held discussions in two groups, while the 20 people who remained all day on Zoom were divided into small rooms to share their responses.

A large delegation from the Balkans was in attendance. Mr. Kadri Rahimaj, the youngest mayor of Kosovo, participated with two of his staff, and two ladies came from the municipality of Divjaka in Albania. A director from Istogu Channel TV was also present, and broadcast part of the program live. At the end of the program, 10 people in Geneva were awarded Ambassador for Peace certificates. Some of those on Zoom were already Ambassadors for Peace, and two were mailed their certificates after e-mailing their personal answers relating to the content.
