Moscow, Russia—UPF-Russia invited the imam of the Moscow Cathedral Mosque to be the first religious leader to be interviewed for a new online series.

With these interviews, UPF is debuting its Interreligious Association for Peace and Development (IAPD) in Russia.

The first interview took place on January 25, 2023 – the eve of World Interfaith Harmony Week.

The leader of UPF-Moscow, Dmitry Samko, and Imam Marat Hazrat Arshabayev touched upon the issues of strengthening interreligious and interethnic relations in Russia, and the need to maintain international contacts. They also discussed the important role of religious leaders, with clergy acting as mentors for the education of young people.

The first interview had a total of about 700 online views.
