Madrid, Spain—The latest interfaith program of UPF-Spain featured the national president of the Buddhist Interbeing Order.
Concha Barranco, a follower of Vietnamese Zen master Thích Nhất Hạnh, gave a presentation titled “The Essence of True Happiness from the Perspective of Global Ethics.” The program was held on November 17, 2020, at the Espacio Ronda cultural center.
More than 30 people attended, many of them members of the sangha (community) of Madrid. They have not been able to meet since March because of the pandemic and used this opportunity to be together again. The room was full of joy. Ms. Barranco and the sangha are friends of ours and have attended several UPF interfaith programs.
When organizing events, we are following the government guideline of 30 percent room capacity to adhere to health regulations.
