Lisbon, Portugal—The president and secretary of UPF-Portugal visited the Tocoist Church of Portugal and participated in its worship service.

The visit on September 29, 2019, gave us the opportunity to give a testimony about the UPF Africa Summit held in São Tomé and Príncipe a few weeks earlier.

At the end of the service we met Rev. António Gomes, the European chair of the Tocoist Church and a longtime friend as UPF Ambassador for Peace, and Rev. António Simão Vemba, the leader of the national church. We reported to them about the participation in the Africa Summit of His Holiness Bishop Afonso Nunes, the world head of the Tocoist Church, which originated in Angola.

The meeting ended successfully with an invitation to attend the next Sunday Service and give a testimony about the São Tomé summit to all of the community.

This was another important step in maintaining and strengthening a long and prosperous friendship in partnership with the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the World “The Tocoists.”
