Words cannot adequately describe our sadness upon learning of the senseless, devastating and brutal assassination of Prime Minister Abe, Japan’s longest serving prime minister and a world statesman known and loved throughout Japan and the world. He has left a legacy of goodness and greatness that can never be erased.
The cowardly, criminal and violent act of the assassin violates all standards of human decency, and we condemn it without reservation. This horrific act leaves a deep hole in the heart of humanity.
As a global network of peace ambassadors, UPF wholeheartedly honors the legacy of Prime Minister Abe, and we are more determined than ever to carry on our mission, working resolutely and steadfastly to bring an end to violence across our world. This is our mission and our reason for existence.
