On Sunday, December 7th, 2025, UPF Greece, in cooperation with members of the Scientology Association in Athens, organized a Peace Road march in the heart of the city. In addition, we invited members of the Church of Latter-Day Saints to join us in the peace march through the city. Unfortunately, the rainy weather may have discouraged some of the other people we had hoped would participate in the walk. To invite people, we put up posters and handed out leaflets. The event was accompanied by a police escort throughout the entire Peace Road route.
The march began at Constitution Square, next to the Greek Parliament, and continued along Ermou Street, passing through Monastiraki Square, before reaching its final destination at Pnyx Hill, a historic symbol of democracy, situated opposite the Acropolis. There was a joyful, energized atmosphere with positive vibes along the way, as the members of Scientology celebrated the Day of Human Rights. They took the opportunity to distribute their community’s pamphlets and loudly voiced several taglines and slogans regarding Human Rights.
At Pnyx Hill, where beginning as early as 507 BC Athenians gathered to host their popular assemblies, Yannis Porfyris of UPF Greece, delivered a brief speech, highlighting the history of the Peace Road project as a landmark initiative promoting unity and peace among nations, inspired by UPF co-Founders, Dr. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon.
