On 26 December 2025, the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) in Albania, in cooperation with the Women’s Federation for World Peace and the Tirana Peace Council, successfully concluded the marathon of activities for 2025 with the festive event “The Peace Postcard,” held on the premises of the Embassy of Peace in Tirana.
Around 200 Ambassadors for Peace, council leaders, activists, and friends from Albania, Kosovo, and North Macedonia transformed the “Alfred Moisiu” Hall into a space of reflection, gratitude, and hope for peace.
In his opening remarks, the President of UPF Albania, Mr. Defrim Methasani, thanked all of the collaborators, members of the executive board, and the leaders of the Peace Councils for the realization of 70 national activities with the participation of approximately 5,750 people throughout 2025. Greetings were also delivered by Dr. Astrit Memia, President of the National Assembly of UPF Albania; Ms. Katerina Minollari, President of the Albanian Women’s Federation for World Peace; and Mr. Kastriot Selita, President of the Tirana Regional Peace Council.
The festive atmosphere was enriched by artistic performances from the singer Gjela Duka with her distinctive voice; actor and director Llesh Nikolla; and the Devoll Ensemble with the traditional dance “Devolliçe,” a National Cultural Heritage Treasure.
Special moments of the event included:
- The recognition of Ms. Bujana Malaj with the title “Person of the Year”
- A Certificate of Appreciation awarded to Mr. Arjan Haziraj
- The conferral of the title Ambassador for Peace on 13 personalities with outstanding contributions from all Albanian regions
Through this “Peace Postcard,” we wish a Happy New Year 2026 to all Ambassadors for Peace and Albanians everywhere.
