Kuçovë, June 10, 2025 - As part of the Global Day of Parents, announced by the United Nations in 2012, the Kuçovë Peace Council organised a special event in the building of the City Library, on the topic:
"Parenting and Inheritance of Core Values".
Those attending, around sixty, included well-known personalities of the city, Ambassadors for Peace, students, and other guests. The activities gave special prominence on the importance of the family as the foundation of a stable and peaceful society, and on parenthood as being the holiest of missions.
Supervising the event, and committing herself fully to the role, was Mrs. Alma Zenellari, poet and Ambassador for Peace.
The welcoming speech was delivered by Dr. Arqile Master, Chairman of the Kuçovë Peace Council.
Personalities who gave warm greetings and inspiring talks included:
- Mr. Sybi Shehu, Vice-Mayor of Kuçovë Municipality
- Mrs. Leonora Canja, teacher, poet and activist visiting from Belgium
- Mrs. Valentina Muka, writer, translator and Ambassador for Peace visiting from Canada
- Mr. Gani Rroshi, Secretary General of the Universal Peace Federation (UPF-Albania)
They all referenced their talk on "Everything Starts and Ends with the Family".
To complement the atmosphere of gratitude for the role of parents and family values, nine respected figures of Kuçovë were honoured with the "Ambassador for Peace" Award.
